Custom work in Polymer Clay from quality photographs
Polymer clay is incredibly versatile in form, and can be applied to a variety of surfaces (stone, tile, metal, masonite), fit over curves, framed with or without glass, used in whimsical ways (think lamp finials and switchplate covers) and cast for reproduction.
Polymer clay plaque, 5" x 7", shown as blank and with final finish. Today's finishes will transform this medium into a work indistinguishable to the touch from a bronze casting. It is so remarkable it must be felt in the hand to believe. This finish contains real bronze particles. The polymer clay used is extremely strong, inflexible and resilient. Let Angela capture both movement and character and you shall retain a true 'snapshot' of your animal companion as you most want to remember.
Plaques can be ideally mounted on wood base for hanging or table display, applied to a memorial urn, or displayed in a shadow box. Attach a personalized plate and create a wonderful Specialty trophy.
Finishes in addition to this blackened bronze include golden bronze, copper with or without verdigris aging, and pewter among others. Email for complete choices.
Jasperware was made famous by the Wedgewood company. Here I am using the medium of polymer clay in this four inch medallion. This method will make wonderful cameo pendants as smaller scale pieces. This piece as shown could be be drilled as a hanging ornament, or framed under glass. Other traditional background colors were green and black.
This medallion can be mounted and finished in a variety of ways. This particular piece has been made from a mixture including copper-colored material. Other mixtures are available on request, including granite textured, silver, gold or any range of colors can be mixed on a custom basis. Sculptures can be painted to match the photo for an additional charge.
Memorial in honor of the lovely young mare "Ariel", a victim of the 2011 barn fire at True Prospect Farm in PA. This piece was done directly on a slate tile. Stock size of the tile is 12"x12", and can be easily cut to your dimensions.
Jake Chalfin, up. A young amateur steeplechase rider who later that season sustained a traumatic spinal injury. A trust has been set up for his continuing expenses, this piece was one I did to benefit his cause. http://www.chasinforchalfin.com

several metallic finishes were applied to get a rich, layered effect. The bridle is unfinished clay for contrast. Choose a standard size, like this 8"x10" image, and your mounting and framing costs will be modest indeed. This scale piece, matted and framed under glass, can be had for under $350.
